As I've mentioned in the space in the past, I recently moved to Santiago, Chile with my lovely girlfriend. We didn't time our arrival quite right and showed up in early August still with a bit of winter left to come. Spring is just now beginning, and it's been very interesting to watch what artists and bands have grown in popularity as the seasons have changed. For me, as the city warms with each passing day, I find myself going back and listening to things like Washed Out and Dirty Projectors with summer-ready jams. It may be interesting to pay attention to the discrepancy (or correlation) between weather and the types of music that grow in popularity and end up in heavy rotation for me. Or it may not be. If it is, I'll post about it again.
For the minute, this is an early spring playlist I put together, starting out mellow and building from there. Hope you enjoy it!
