A slew of good stuff coming at you today: MGMT, Hot Chip and Peter Gabriel, Lily Allen, and season 2 of Flight of the Conchords
-I've pledged fandom to MGMT, and it's interesting to hear an early incarnation of the group. Wesleying has uncovered "Supervolcano" that Andrew VanWyngarden wrote in lieu of giving a presentation for an Environmental Science class.
MGMT - "Supervolcano"
-In an odd collaboration, Hot Chip and Peter Gabriel have teamed up to cover Vampire Weekend's "Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa." Like everyone, I was at first excited about Vampire Weekend, and like everyone, I have since grown tired of their act, but this is an interesting cover. What's next? Phil Collins and Chromeo?

-Lily Allen was my favorite breakout artist/group of 2007 (yes, more than Digitalism, Justice and Chromeo...shocking, I know) and she's back with a new album this February, titled It's Not Me, It's You. Allen puts a fresh spin on modern pop, and signs with a vindictiveness that can only come from real heart break. I look forward to her work on the rest of the album, which unlike Alright Still, wont have a lot of Mark Ronson beats behind it. Check out the first single, "The Fear" and a bunch more from It's Not Me, It's You.
